Overview

Only married couples are permitted treatment, no singles or cohabitants. PGD is done and while gender selection in the Islamic world remains controversial there are clinics that will do it. There does not appear to be a clear position on gender selection and it has been determined by some modern scholars to be religiously permissible. Embryo freezing permitted.

Egg/Sperm Donation

Sperm, egg and embryo donation are not permitted.

Surrogacy

Surrogacy is not permitted.
