American Egg Donor in India and Thailand

Egg Donor in India and Thailand.

So many people start off wanting to know what is behind the decision in becoming an egg donor.  I thought sharing this information is important, because in some countries the egg donation process is anonymous, you’ll never meet your donor or understand why she chose to donate. Also, as a parent myself providing potential IP’s with insight about what makes an egg donor become an egg donor could be comforting.

My main reason for becoming An egg donor was the financial benefit, so that I could pay off my student loans. Beyond that, I also wanted to help someone have a child who could not. This was very important to me as I could not imagine life without my daughter.

I did have to take a few things into consideration, for instance; I wanted to make sure that there would not be any major health complications  or risks in doing such a process. Also, how long the entire recovery process would be was important since I am the sole provider for my daughter.

Becoming an egg donor takes a few steps. First, there is a contract that you must sign and have notarized and return to your coordinator, you also need to speak with a lawyer just to go over the contract in case you have any questions. Then after that if you are not already screened, you would have your psych evaluation, and blood tests. The evaluation is kind of like a personal interview, you are asked questions about your childhood and  upbringing, if you have ever had any issues beyond what would be considered normal kid or teenager problems. It is not anything to be afraid of and it doesn’t take very long.  It is ok if you have questions for the therapist and this gives you the opportunity to ask them. You should just feel very relaxed and be yourself, I was able to have mine via skype and it was about 45 min.

Blood test test you for HIV, blood issues, blood type so they can match you? They do check you for any STDs, you blood type, your hormone level and a few others that I am not 100% sure of but I know that all of the tests are to make sure that you are healthy, you will be healthy if you have the procedure and that any ovum taken from you are healthy also. It is a great way for the doctors to protect both the donor and the intended parents.
