Hello, I’m interested in finding out if you can suggest any resources that can provide objective statistics for international fertility clinics/reproductive endocrinologists in regards to IVF for woman in the early 40′s. I’d also be interested in any information on clinics outside the US that are known for the best safety standards, cutting edge technology, and international reputation. Thank you

Thank you so much for contacting us. Seeing as you’re in CA, the first thing to look at would be the clinics in the US. There are a few that are having success with over 40.. but as you probably know, the odds are not in your favor (well, depending upon how over 40 you are!). CCRM in Colorado is known for having high success rates with IVF over 40, but be forewarned, they do cherry-pick their clients and therefore that helps their statistics stay high. They are also fairly expensive. There are a few REs down here in LA that have had some success with over 40 (and by that I really mean over 42). The few I know who have gotten women pregnant with their own eggs have been at Huntington Reproductive Center – they have several clinics.. I believe the ones that have lately had the best success with over 40 are Dr. Feinman (in Encino) and Dr. Wilcox (in Pasadena). Sometimes the REs are now looking at doing several cycles, freezing till you get enough to do pgd and then transferring back only normal embryos to avoid higher miscarriage rates that are obviously more common with advanced egg age.
If you’re looking internationally, we hear great things about Israel and what they are doing with the over 40 age group. We’ve heard this from several REs around the world who work in conjunction with Israeli clinics. The Israeli’s are very advanced in their fertility care. However, we don’t know anyone personally there so unfortunately cannot make specific recommendations.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
