My wife and me are considering to do IUI for sex selection.

And please send me more information about that many thanks.

Thank you for writing.  We are not a fertility clinic so we do not offer any services, we are an informational website and resource.  However, I do know that in the US, you can do sperm spinning before an IUI that might hopefully increase your chances for sex selection – but it is not a guarantee.  There is also another process called Microsort (but I believe it is only done with IVF not IUI) that is part of a study at a clinic called Huntington Reproductive Center in Pasadena, CA.  However, to qualify (if they are even still doing it — ) you need to be doing gender selection for family balancing or for medical reasons.

But those are two things you can explore.  The sperm spinning is done at many fertility clinics — Where are you located?

Regards,
Lauri

Hi Lauri -
Thank you for your reply.
I stay in Hong Kong and because it is illegal to do sex selection in Hong Kong so I might do it in US especially in LA. can you give me information about the appropriate hospitals and the oversea packages to deliver such service?
Many thanks

In many places in the United States it is not illegal to do sex selection.  If you are only doing IUI (intra uterine inseminations) then your options are likely sperm spinning or Microsort (if it is even still available).  Sperm spinning can be done at most fertility clinics online casino however,  I will give you the names of a few top clinics in the Los Angeles area that definitely will do sperm spinning with IUIs.  Microsort was a study that was being done at a few clinics – again I will give you the details below and you can contact the clinic directly to see if they are still doing the study and if you are eligible to participate (there were specific requirements – gender balance in family, gender linked diseases).  Please remember that sperm spinning is NOT a guarantee of gender selection.  You can ask the clinics about the odds of success they have.  However, if you do PGD (pre genetic diagnosis) or something similar to that with IVF (in vitro fertilization) then you would be practically guaranteed of the gender.  All clinics listed below will do sex selection with IVF (many in the US will).  Of course, IVF is much more expensive than IUI, but with a much higher chance of success.

Warm wishes,
Lauri
