I can now say I heartily recommend the Canadian pharmacy Big Mountain Drugs. Buying my medications from them saved me almost $700. One by one, the medications made their way through customs and arrived. The Endometrin took over a week to come from Canada. A another week later the Synarel arrived from the UK. Lastly I received the Estrace from Germany.
The one potential problem is that the Estrace I received is a labeled ” Progynova”. I called Big Mountian Drugs and they explained that Progynova is Estrace brand and not the generic. According to Big Mountain Drugs, Progynova is manufactured in India and packaged for Germany under the name Progynova. Our Canadian clinic had been quite firm that they wanted me to take the brand name Estrace and not the generic Estradiol. There is a significant price difference. For example, from Apothecary, the US pharmacy I was considering using, it would have cost $295 for the brand name Estrace and $30 for the generic Estradiol. I paid $71 for the Progynova. I have emailed the nurse at our Canadian clinic to ask if Progynova is okay…
I learned from Big Mountain Drugs that the US Congress is currently considering legislation that would stop US citizens from being able to order medicines online.
The RxRights Coalition is working to maintain access to international pharmacies. After my positive expereince with Big Mountian Drugs, I signed their petition and wrote my Senators and Congress person without hesitation. For info on the coalition see:
